Part Time Receptionist (TUS Programme)

We are seeking a friendly and organised individual to join our team at the Ballymun Job Centre. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for experience to develop and further their career in the area of reception or customer services.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Direct clients and visitors to the appropriate person.
    Answer phone calls & address inquiries.
  • Forward incoming calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Provide basic and accurate information to clients and visitors both in person and via phone/email.
  • Ensure that the reception area is tidy and presentable with all necessary materials.
  • Provide administrative support to staff members as required.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties, such as photocopying, scanning, filing, recording incoming and outgoing post and data entry.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in an administrative or receptionist role is preferred.
  • Some experience in using computers and common office software e.g. Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Additional Requirements:

To be eligible to participate in the TUS scheme you must: Be available 19.5 hrs a week for 1 year

Have been continuously unemployed for at least 12 months and “signing on” on a full-time basis; and have been receiving a jobseeker’s payment (Jobseeker’s Benefit or Jobseeker’s Allowance) from the Department of Social Protection for at least 12 months; and be currently receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance (JA)
