Strategic Plan 2024 - 2028

A WORD FROM THE CEO

I am privileged to write the introduction to this Strategy for Ballymun Job Centre on behalf of the people we support, families, staff and management. We have expanded organically over the last thirty-eight years and experienced changes, developments and innovation throughout the years guided by previous strategic plans. As a result of this we are now well placed in local communities in North Dublin (offices located in Ballymun, Balbriggan and Swords) to integrate and participate in all aspects of community life in line with our Strategic Plan (Vision, Mission, Values and Goals).

We set about developing a new Strategic Plan and a very extensive consultation took place with people supported, families, community, staff and other stakeholders during 2023/2024. The resulting new strategy has been well informed by the consultation process and will ensure the needs of those we support are respected and realised.

Our team are committed to listening, responding and supporting each individuals, life choices in achieving their full potential. We are ready to further enhance the relationships we have developed over the years with partners including the Departmetn of Social Protection (DSP), Health Service Executive (HSE), City of Dublin Education & Training Board (CDETB), Dublin City Council (DCC), Local Authorities, local organisations, community groups, businesses in the community and other sectoral partners and key stakeholders so that we can create better opportunities and lives for the people we support.

In many ways, we will continue to do what you have told us we do well. We will remain tireless advocates, representing and championing the interests of our clients and the community we serve. I look forward to working with my colleagues in BJC, our Board, our clients, the community and all key stakeholders to achieve the ambitions in this plan. We are confident that, with your support and collaboration, the next five years will mark a significant chapter in BJC’s journey.

This plan is more than a document; it will be our compass, guiding our decisions and actions. It will inspire confidence in our mission and set the stage for a future where every person throughout our catchment area has access to high-quality, well-resourced services. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and dedication to our shared vision.
